The Ohio Medical Malpractice Act imposes a one (1) year statute of limitations on medical malpractice claims. This means that you have a limited amount of time in which to file a claim. Ohio has a two (2) year statute of limitations for wrongful death claims. Prior to prosecuting a claim, an Estate must be opened. Please contact our attorneys so we can determine whether you are within the applicable statute of limitations for a claim arising out of a wrongful death.
